Terms of Service
At Peanut’s Pet Palace, we want to make sure that we are showing every pup the love, care, and undivided attention they all deserve. Our Terms of Service ensure that we can do so and will help create the best experience for all parties involved.
By making a booking, you are agreeing to the Terms of Service below. We urge that you reach out to us if you have any queries or concerns before making a booking.
Subsequent refusal to oblige to the Terms of Service may result in a refusal of service and incur the full-service fee.
Prices and services
The more information you can give us before the appointment, the more accurate our initial quote will be. However, all quotes/ prices, without having personally assessed your dog, are an estimate only and are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify your dog’s haircut and price depending on a variety of factors. These include (but are not limited to):
-
Condition of the coat/ fur, especially the severity of matting. If your dog’s fur is excessively matted and we feel brushing them out would be cruel and painful for them, we will have to very carefully and slowly shave off the coat. This is standard practice as doing so will free the dog from a lot of unnecessary tension and pain. The best way to keep matting at bay is to brush the coat a few times a week. Ask Shiby at your next appointment if you would like any tips or tricks!
-
If you would like the fur to be kept longer than 0.5 inches or would like a stylised trim, an extra charge will apply.
-
If extra time is required to address specific needs, you will be advised and an additional fee charged.
-
A special handling fee may be applied, depending on your pet’s size, behaviour, and any medical conditions.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, credit cards, or other agreed-upon forms of payment.
Bookings and appointment etiquette
No shows will be charged the full grooming service fee and future bookings will not be available.
Please drop off and pick up your pups at the allocated times. As PPP is a home salon, there are strict council restrictions and regulations regarding how many dogs can be on-site, noise, etc. We pride ourselves on being able to provide tailored one-on-one service to each of our four-legged clients - so it is also important to be timely to ensure that another client’s pup is not adversely affected.
If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, it may be regarded as a no-show and may incur the full-service fee.
Late pick-ups attract a fee of $5 per 10 minutes and may result in refusal of future service.
All cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. Failing to do so may be regarded as a no-show.
Behaviour and health
We are pretty renowned (and incredibly grateful) for pups and parents leaving with an even bigger smile than the one they came in with. This is because we always put the dog’s comfort and safety first - and will never force a pup to endure anything past their personal limitations. Sometimes, this may mean that we cannot/ choose not to complete the service to not cause harm. This will also help in making sure that existing problems aren’t made significantly worse/ unsafe. We think it’s better to have an unfinished grooming appointment than an injured or traumatised pet.
If we are not able to continue the service due to a lack of disclosure, the full-service fee may still apply. As such, please read the Terms of Service carefully and contact us if you have any queries or concerns.
Grooming history: It is always best practice to let us know of your pup’s overall grooming history. This will help us tailor our service based on existing knowledge
Behaviour: Please notify us before your pet's appointment if they have any behaviour problems especially if they have ever shown signs of aggression such as growling, scratching, snarling or biting.
Other examples of behavioural issues include; anxiety when left on their own or in a new/unfamiliar environment, fear of loud noises, and water, or sensitivity to certain areas of their body being touched (such as their feet or rear end).
Medical conditions: Please notify us before your pet's appointment of any pre-existing health conditions that might make them uncomfortable, risk injury, symptoms, or risk death. Such conditions can be and are not limited to; a history of seizures, allergies, respiratory conditions, heart conditions, blindness, deafness, difficulty standing or walking, cancer, active infections, arthritis, matted coat, diabetes, abscesses, incontinence, dietary restrictions, recent surgeries, open wounds, lumps and bumps, hypothyroidism, lupus, leukemia, lymphoma, dementia, bone deformities or diseases, or damaged muscles, ligaments, tendons, or nerves. If your pet's medical condition is too advanced, limiting, or risky, we may have to decline service. Your pet's health and well-being will always come first at Peanut’s Pet Palace. Any grooming which takes place on a pet with a pre-existing health condition is conducted at the owner's risk.
Age: How old your pup is drastically informs the way they are groomed. Older pets may require longer appointments so they can have frequent breaks from standing - or may even need to have most of the groom completed whilst they’re lying down. On the other end, if this is your puppy’s first groom, it will understandably be a little bit odd for them! We make sure that we give our first-timers that extra level of TLC so that they look forward to future sessions (instead of feeling like they’re taking a trip to the vet!).
There’s never too much information that you can give us about your pup. Every care will be taken to avoid any injury or harm however there is always a risk when dealing with our non-verbal friends. This risk can be mitigated much more if we are informed about your pup by you. Remember, they can’t talk, so they look to us to talk for them. Although rare, should an accident occur, you will be duly notified and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure your pet is taken care of.
In case of a medical emergency, we will seek veterinary care and inform you promptly.
Media consent
PPP love to share the stories/ faces of happy pups on our social media, website etc. Please let us know in advance if you do not want content regarding you or your pup to be shared.
